Paula Fürstenberg und Ceeys (Potsdam)
Literatur- und Musikbrunch
Reading & concert / fabrik Café
In cooperation with the bookshop Viktoriagarten.
What is like to have no memories of your own father? And none of the country called GDR, where you were born? In her first novel "Family of Winged Tigers", Paula Fürstenberg tells a gentle, laconic and humorous story about the touching search for a father, blind spots, biographical breaks, and the need to have a history into which you can settle down.
The lecture is musically accompanied by the Potsdam band CEEYS comprised of the brothers Sebastian and Daniel Selke - an instrumental duo with a unique mixture of acoustic cello and piano as well as electronic instruments from the former GDR. Their new album "Concrete Fields" is a personal encounter with growing up in the barren landscape of Europe's largest prefab estate Marzahn-Hellersdorf (Berlin).
Afterwards, the fabrik Café offers a brunch.
Entrance to the reading and concert is free, for the following brunch we recommend you to book online in advance. Price: 14,50 € + beverages.
